60th Birthday Concert, RNCM
This was a fantastic concert to celebrate the 60th birthday of SYO. Making this extra special we were able to welcome back Jennifer Pike, a huge international star virtuoso violinist, her roots are here and she was once the leader of the Stockport Youth Orchestra.
Jennifer played the amazingly difficult Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto to great ovation.
Prior to this the Orchestra started off with Ay Caray! by Carlos Agreda who won the inaugural composition composition promoted by SYO.
The second half of the concert was filled with a great performance of Elgar’s Variations on an Original Theme, Enigma (opus 36)
A great review can be found at SYO Review
